PostSubject: Luke Cummo: Iím Fighting Edilberto Crocota on Sept. 19   Wed 25 Jul 2007, 2:53 pm

The Ultimate Fighter 2 welterweight runner-up Luke Cummo (5-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) today posted a MySpace bulletin that revealed his opponent for Septemberís UFC Fight Night 11 event. Itíll be Brazilian Edilberto Crocota (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC).

(Crocota is also known as Edilberto Souza De Oliveira and Edilberto de Oliveira).

The 24-year-old Crocota, a Minotauro Fights veteran, made his Octagon debut at UFC 70 in April and suffered a third-round TKO loss to Paul Taylor.

Crocota trains with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

Cummo, one of the sport‚Äôs more eccentric fighters, was one of the The Ultimate Fighter 2Ďs biggest underdogs. He was even the last fighter picked when the season‚Äôs two teams were chosen. However, Cummo defeated Anthony Torres in the season‚Äôs eighth episode and Sammy Morgan in the 10th before losing to eventual winner Joe Stevenson (in a close but unanimous decision) during the show‚Äôs live finale in November 2005.

Since his time on the show, Cummo scored a unanimous-decision win over Jason Von Flue (UFC Fight Night 4) and lost a unanimous decision to Jonathan Goulet (UFC Fight Night 5). Back in April at UFC 69, he posted a very impressive second-round knockout victory over Josh Haynes.
UFC Fight Night 11 takes place at The Palms Las Vegas and airs on Spike TV.
